Shiplap Interior Paneling for Walls and Ceilings

As a warm and healthy alternative to drywall, Shiplap by Woodtone™ Interior Paneling is a quality product you can count on.  Re-imagined with superior product features, when installed, the classic visible gap between the boards is created by the product’s unique design, and the classic “shiplap” appearance is achieved.

Manufactured from engineered clear pine, Shiplap by Woodtone™ Interior Paneling is a tongue and groove pattern (not a traditional shiplap pattern) for ease of installation and arrives with a factory coat of white primer, ready to accept the color of paint of your choice.

Care and Maintenance for Shiplap Interior Paneling

Big “Thank You” to our customer Dave for sharing these photos of his new sunroom addition that we supplied the building materials for.  The combination of the painted Shiplap and natural Western Red Cedar T&G on the ceiling give this new space lots of character.  We are also rather fond of the Douglas Fir trim and beautiful privacy fence he built using our 1×4” clear Red Balau Mahogany that can be seen out his new beautiful sunroom windows!

The new sunroom exterior is clad with our knotty Western Red Cedar beveled siding.  We provided him with pre-primed siding, which saves a big step during construction when it is destined to be painted.

Ease of Installation

  • Each board is end-matched, therefore it does not need to end on a stud. This saves time, as well as money during installation.
  • Available in 12, 14, and 16’ lengths in two different profiles: square edge or v-grooved
  • Each board is already coated with high-quality, water-based semi-transparent or solid stain on all four sides.  This will save money and time on the job site, as well as helps to protect the wood and prevent damage and dirt pick-up.

Important Notes

  • SPF is an acronym, which stands for spruce, pine, and fir. Sold under the general term “Pine,” it may be a combination of any of the three trees.  All produce a high-grade timber with relatively sound, small tight knots. If a blemish-free appearance is desired, we recommend filling knots with putty and finishing with a solid color topcoat.
  • This is a natural wood product. Warranty does not cover natural occurrences such as extractive bleeding, variations in grain and color, knots, mineral streaks and/or pitch pockets.  Sorry, we are unable to provide an exact match on any previous order or sample.
  • All material must be viewed and allowed to acclimate 5-7 days before installation. We consider the installation of the product as final acceptance.
  • This product is not recommended for, or warranted for, exterior siding applications.

Western Red Cedar – The Ultimate Choice for Mobile Buildings and Tiny Homes

When researching building material choices for mobile buildings and tiny houses, wood is often chosen because it is lightweight, easy to work with, an excellent thermal insulator, and is readily available.

Western Red Cedar siding is the ultimate choice for tiny homes and mobile buildings

With so many wood options available in exterior siding, Western Red Cedar is a popular choice due to its low density, durability, natural resistance to decay and rot, as well as its beauty and affordability.   Western Red Cedar also works great for interior paneling, as does Pine or Doug Fir when a lighter color palette is desired.

Wood paneling is an ideal choice for tiny home interiors due to its light weight and workability

It was great fun to supply the building materials for this mobile bike shop in our local area.  Mister Lost’s Mobile Bike Shop brings full-service bike repair right to your door in Whatcom, Skagit and San Juan counties.   So cool!
